Hannah Baker, MSW, LGSW

My Approach: Trust, compassion, respect, and non-judgment are the cornerstones of my therapeutic approach. Utilizing a combination of person-centered, trauma informed, and evidence-based interventions. I practice through a lens of body positivity, racial and cultural awareness, and inclusiveness. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse individuals. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and hope to serve individuals in this community who struggle with identity, and I am dedicated to the de-pathologizing of emotional suffering that is often caused by various forms of systemic oppression. I believe in a holistic and individualized approach to therapy. Through warmth and humor, I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. I understand that each person’s journey is unique, and I tailor my therapeutic approaches to meet your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the most effective and compassionate care possible.

Hobbies: Reading, gardening, going to the beach, snuggling with my cat, board games, hiking, painting, trying new restaurants or experiences in the cities, traveling, and spending time with my extraordinary chosen family.

Favorite DBT Skill: My personal favorite DBT skill is accumulating positives. I find so much joy in the little things that make life worth living. I am encouraged to use this skill as I grow and understand that acknowledging positive experiences and emotions does not invalidate negative experiences or emotions we may be faced with. This skill also helps me identify positive moments and relationships to be present for, and to engage mindfully.
